The Salesian College Preparatory Pride's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-37 bruising from Perry. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Salesian College Preparatory has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Salesian College Preparatory had strong showings from Janiya Sawyer, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and five blocks, and Madalyn Kanazawa, who scored nine points along with three blocks. Those three blocks set a new season-high mark for her. Jamia Sawyer was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds.
Salesian College Preparatory now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Perry, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Salesian College Preparatory will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Millennium at 9:00 a.m. on December 20th. Millennium will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1038th, while Salesian College Preparatory is ranked 221st). Perry and Lynwood will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Lynwood focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
