The Dakota Ridge Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Green Mountain with points to spare, taking the game 82-68. The win was nothing new for Dakota Ridge as they're now sitting on five straight.
It was another big night for Ethan Berninger, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 1 assist. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Schneider, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds.
Green Mountain's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Simon Lunsford, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lunsford has scored all season. Blake Weslin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Dakota Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Green Mountain, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dakota Ridge will take on Evergreen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
