Eldorado extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-14. They lost 24-8 to the Clark Chargers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.
Angela Ramirez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Stephanie Ramos, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
As for Clark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
On Clark's side, Sophia DeMonbrun made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. DeMonbrun has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Clark got a massive performance out of Sofia Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Garcia has posted since back in May of 2025. Alex Spatharos was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
Eldorado wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 25-0 loss against Sunrise Mountain on the 16th. As for Clark, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-8 victory against Mojave on the 16th.
