Despite their loss, Buena Vista saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Mogtaba Mohamed, who scored 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. Mohamed continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Meanwhile, Omaha Northwest was beaten by Lincoln Southeast 83-43 on Tuesday. Omaha Northwest has struggled against Lincoln Southeast recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Omaha Northwest got a solid performance out of Chiok John, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that John posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Dontae McDowell, who scored ten points.
Buena Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Omaha Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Buena Vista have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Omaha Northwest struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 21.8 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
