After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy, Hanson Memorial was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past Westgate 17-1. Onnie Doucet was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. She also brought in three RBI, marking her first of the season.
In other batting news, Camren Rochel was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and four RBI. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Emily Faucheux also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
