Football Recap: Port Jervis Skates Past Red Hook with Ease

Port Jervis never let their opponents score on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-0 win over Red Hook. The result was nothing new for Port Jervis, who have now won nine matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.

Dylan Fox was his usual excellent self, rushing for 135 yards and one score on only six carries, while also throwing for 168 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Amato Natale, who rushed for 56 yards and one TD.

Port Jervis didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cole Corcoran and Marcus Bloom. Port Jervis received some extra help from Benjamin Rivera, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Port Jervis pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.9 points on average over those games. As for Red Hook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
