Cross Plains and May are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Cross Plains Buffaloes will head out on the road to face off against the May Tigers at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Cross Plains earned a 44-31 win over Baird. The win was just what Cross Plains needed coming off of a 55-18 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, May put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Moran 65-9 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory May has managed all season.
Cross Plains' victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for May, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
Cross Plains didn't have too much breathing room in their game against May when the teams last played back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 40-35 win. Will Cross Plains repeat their success, or does May have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
