It was a good run, but the North Fork Miners unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Gunnison by a score of 39-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss North Fork has suffered yet this season.
Despite the loss, North Fork still got an impressive performance from Moss Inman, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Hart, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
North Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Gunnison, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Fork won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Roaring Fork at 5:30 p.m. on January 13th. Roaring Fork is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. As for Gunnison, they will head out on the road to challenge Crested Butte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
