Morningside Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmilina Miller, who scored 7 points along with 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Giuliana Bonasera, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Morningside Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
