The Parkside Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 27 points or more this season. They took their game at home on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 71-33 victory over Northwestern. The win was just what Parkside needed coming off of a 77-43 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kasson James, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Keinard Holmes, who scored 16 points.
Parkside pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.89 points. As for Northwestern, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Parkside won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Friendship Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in District of Columbia (Friendship Collegiate Academy is ranked 24th, while Parkside is ranked 15th). Northwestern won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bladensburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 4th.
