Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ayden - Grifton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cam Honey, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was Honey's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiha Crandell, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals.
Southside now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Ayden - Grifton, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southside won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Rosewood at 7:30 p.m. on November 29th. Allowing an average of 56 points per game, Rosewood has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Ayden - Grifton, they will be playing at home against South Lenoir at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
