Even though the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, the Gateway Gators still came out on top. Gateway narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wolverines 58-56. That's another feather in the cap for Gateway, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, San Francisco Waldorf still got an impressive performance from Miles MacDonald, who scored 21 points. That was a full 37.5% of San Francisco Waldorf's points, marking the 16th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jasper Burgard, who scored 11 points.
Gateway's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-13. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.
