Even though the North Rowan Cavaliers scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, the Parkland Mustangs still came out on top. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Parkland made off with a 64-63 victory over North Rowan. The score was all tied up 28-28 at the break, but Parkland was the better team in the second half.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Williams, who scored 20 points. Joshua Moore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Parkland now has a winning record of 2-1. As for North Rowan, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Parkland will head out on the road to face off against Salisbury at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Rowan, they will be playing at home against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Albemarle comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
