Basketball Recap: Florida Prep Extends Winning Streak to Four

Florida Prep extended their winning streak to four on Friday, bumping them up to 4-0. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 50-44 W against the Harmony Longhorns. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Falcons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while the Longhorns are ranked 283rd).

As for Harmony, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly six points.

Despite the loss, Harmony still got an impressive performance from Jeremiah Pacheco, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Quaniel Reyes, who posted five points and five rebounds.

Florida Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-35 defeat against Southeastern Prep Academy on the 29th. As for Harmony, they have also already played their next contest, a 69-34 victory against Brevard Christian on the 29th.
