The Gregori Jaguars will face off against the Hughson Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gregori is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Gregori earned a 9-6 win over Turlock. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Jaguars.

Kaliyah Mauia and Angelina Hoffman did most of the damage at the plate: Mauia went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Hoffman scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those three hits gave Mauia a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevah Cates, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Hughson beat Atwater 7-2 on Tuesday. The Huskies have beaten the Falcons the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.
Kylie Tangney 2027 spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Presley Wells 2026, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Peyton Moring 2028 was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Gregori's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Hughson, the win got them back to even at 4-4-1.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Gregori hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. However, it's not like Hughson struggles in that department as they've averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Gregori was able to grind out a solid victory over Hughson in their previous matchup back in March of 2022, winning 4-1. Will Gregori repeat their success, or does Hughson have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
