Nardin Academy has gone 9-1 against Mount St. Mary Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Gators will face off against the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. Nardin Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Nardin Academy will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Mount Mercy Academy on Wednesday. The Gators were the clear victors by a 22-1 margin over the Magic. The Gators' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Lidia Foglia made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Brooklyn Hornung and Abigail Ware did most of the damage at the plate: Hornung went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Ware got on base in three of her five plate appearances with six RBI and two runs. That home run was Hornung's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abigail McGrath, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.
Nardin Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Mercy Academy only managed four.
St. Mary's hit Mount St. Mary Academy with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Thunder fell 7-3 to the Lancers. The loss put an end to the Thunder's undefeated start to the season.
Isabella Kilonsky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Mount St. Mary Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Frisbie, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Nardin Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Mount St. Mary Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
