Volleyball Recap: MAST Academy Has No Trouble Against Miami Springs

It's playoff time, and MAST Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Miami Springs Golden Hawks on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Makos in their matchups with the Golden Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: MAST Academy took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-6, 25-9.

Among those leading the charge was Alex Papp, who had eight kills, four aces, and one block. Those four aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariadna Ros, who had 13 assists and two aces.

MAST Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Miami Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

MAST Academy will square off against Downtown Doral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
