After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northview, St. Ursula Academy was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Ottawa Hills Green Bears 26-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Arrows considering their two-run performance the game before.
Aliviah Santibanez made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Santibanez was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
In other batting news, St. Ursula Academy got a massive performance out of Brooke Bowers, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Witek, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The victory got St. Ursula Academy back to even at 1-1.
Coming up, St. Ursula Academy will be playing at home against Clay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ottawa Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against Wauseon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
