Westfield and Carmel are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2018, but not for long. The Shamrocks will venture away from home to face off against the Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Westfield comes in on four and Carmel on six.
Westfield is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They really took it to Zionsville for the full four quarters, racking up a 48-20 victory. The Shamrocks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Westfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Baylor Connor led the charge by rushing for 126 yards and one TD. Aiden Grabowski was in the mix as well, providing the Shamrocks with two scores.
Meanwhile, Carmel humbled Harrison with a 56-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Greyhounds' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Raiders are ranked 64th).
Carmel's win came from a few key players Westfield will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Andrew Pemberton, who rushed for 123 yards on only eight carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 119 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ayden Johnson, who rushed for 82 yards on only nine carries.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Carmel proved: they limited Harrison to a paltry 0.1 yards per carry. While two picked up at least five total tackles, Emanuel Griffin III stood above the rest. He picked up three sacks and made five total tackles. Carmel didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.2.
Carmel's defense didn't let Lannon Nicoloff, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for four sacks. Harrison's QB won't forget Griffin III anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Another thorn in the Raiders' side was Kaiden Bower, who picked up a sack and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Westfield's record is now 8-2. As for Carmel, their record now sits at 9-1.
Westfield might still be hurting after the 34-10 loss they got from Carmel in their previous matchup back in August. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Shamrocks were down 20-0.
