The Olympian Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Bonita Vista Barons at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Olympian's defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so Bonita Vista's offense will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Olympian earned a 29-21 win over Montgomery. Those 29 points were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Jayden Fuentes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 168 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 78 yards on only six carries. Those 78 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Patricio Flatts was in the mix too, providing Olympian with two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Olympian's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Josiah Rivera. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 19. Another thorn in Montgomery's side was Jeremiah Delgado Faucher, who forced one fumble and made 16 total tackles.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Bonita Vista was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 28-10 to Hilltop. The Barons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
The victory made it two in a row for Olympian and bumps their season record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Bonita Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Olympian has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 361.1 total yards per game. It's a different story for Bonita Vista, though, as they've been averaging only 171 total yards. Will Olympian be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Barons flip the script?
Olympian came up short against Bonita Vista in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 21-13. Thankfully for the Eagles, Kenneth Jordan (who rushed for 94 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
