Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marco Island Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Ogdin, who had 11 digs and one assist. Ogdin has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played. Madison Stolinas was another key player, getting five digs, three aces, and one block.

Marco Island Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Fort Myers, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Marco Island Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Lemon Bay on the 4th. As for Fort Myers, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Cardinal Mooney on the 4th.
