In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Westbrook-Walnut Grove sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 20-25, 25-22, 20-25, 15-11.
Despite the loss, Westbrook-Walnut Grove got top-tier performance from Leah Vandewiele, who had 19 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ambrosa Yang, who had ten digs and one assist.
Meanwhile, Tracy-Milroy-Balaton posted their closest victory since September 18th on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Edgerton 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their seven-match losing streak.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-104) Tracy-Milroy-Balaton actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 25-22, 15-25, 15-12.
Tracy-Milroy-Balaton's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Westbrook-Walnut Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-9-2.
