They really took it to Irvine for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-28 win on the road. That looming 69-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for San Clemente yet this season.
San Clemente got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Whidden out in front who scored nine points along with six blocks and five rebounds. Those six blocks set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Chase Tolliver, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
San Clemente is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Irvine, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
San Clemente won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Woodbridge at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
