The Huntington Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Parkersburg Big Reds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Huntington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
Huntington kicked off their season on the road and hit a couple of potholes. They fell to Olentangy Liberty 79-74. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Huntington's loss came about despite a quality game from Mikey Johnson, who scored 26 points along with 8 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tayveon Wilson, who scored 10 points.
Meanwhile, Parkersburg took a serious blow against Morgantown on Saturday, falling 103-41. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Parkersburg in their matchups with Morgantown: they've now lost four in a row.

Everything came up roses for Huntington against Parkersburg when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 75-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Huntington since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
