The 28th annual Brooks Robinson All-Star game will be played on Sunday, June 14, at Camden Yards immediately following the Orioles-Braves interleague game.
The game involves the top baseball players from throughout the state who just completed their senior season. Many past participants have gone on to play professionally, most notably Aberdeen’s Cal Ripken Jr., a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Players for this game and Team Maryland were selected by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches following the MSABC Classic, which was comprised of two nine-inning games, held on May 24 at Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf.
Players were invited to the Classic following four regional tryouts held on May 17.
