Athenian got their first taste of in-conference action on Wednesday and they started things off strong. They put the hurt on the Brave Christian Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Owls this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17, 25-12.

Athenian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Brave Christian, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Athenian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against California Crosspoint on the 26th. As for Brave Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Quarry Lane on the 26th.
