Totino-Grace has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Hutchinson Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Totino-Grace will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Totino-Grace walked away with it. They claimed a resounding 49-7 win over St. Anthony Village at home. Considering Totino-Grace has won three matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Justin Kuharski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 116 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries. Kuharski's longest rush was for an incredible 87 yards. Totino-Grace also got a significant boost from Noah Hill, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 84 yards.
Meanwhile, Hutchinson waltzed into Friday's match with four straight wins but they left with five. They strolled past Marshall with points to spare, taking the game 30-14. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Hutchinson was the (much) better team in the second half.
Their wins bumped Totino-Grace to 7-3 and Hutchinson to 8-2.
Things could have been worse for Totino-Grace, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-3 loss to Hutchinson in their previous meeting back in September. Can Totino-Grace avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
