The Millbrook Wildcats won the last time they faced the Knightdale Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Millbrook blew past Knightdale, posting a 52-14 win on the road. The result was nothing new for Millbrook, who have now won five matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Millbrook was led to victory by Mason Fortune and John Alarcon. Fortune threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns, while Alarcon rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries. Millbrook also got help from Henry Hutchins who showed off his sure hands for 82 receiving yards.
Millbrook's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.5 points per game. As for Knightdale, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Millbrook will be playing at home against Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Kavon Simmons and Fortune. As for Knightdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
