Baseball Recap: Assumption Sets Scoring Season-High Against Holden

Assumption was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 13-9 to the Holden Rockets. One positive for the Mustangs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Assumption's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Holden, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Assumption will take on Northlake Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Assumption has given up an average of 8.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Holden, they will challenge Albany at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Holden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
