Gateway and San Francisco Waldorf are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but not for long. The Gateway Gators will stay at home for another game and welcome the San Francisco Waldorf Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Drew scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Gateway still came out on top. Gateway snuck past Drew with a 63-59 win.
Meanwhile, San Francisco Waldorf had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They took down Jewish Community 54-37.
It was another big night for Miles MacDonald, who scored 21 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of San Francisco Waldorf's points. Another player making a difference was Sam Kite, who scored nine points.
Gateway's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for San Francisco Waldorf, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.
Gateway suffered a grim 71-47 defeat to San Francisco Waldorf in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Gateway, Hugo Rutherfurd (who scored 23 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
