The Meridian Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Parma Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meridian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.4 runs per game this season.
Meridian picked up another tournament win on Friday. Everything went their way against Moscow as Meridian made off with a 14-6 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Reagan Morris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Maddie Clark was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and four runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Mariah Dresie was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
Meridian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Moscow only posted an OBP of .320.
Meanwhile, Parma put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Preston by a score of 8-5.
The team relied heavily on Riley Calkins, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Poppy Nichols, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Parma's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Meridian, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Saturday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Meridian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .420. However, it's not like Parma struggles in that department as they've averaged .413. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
