Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Canyon walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clint Lions a 14-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Canyon's fourth in a row) raised their record to 27-7-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Clint, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-13-1.

Coming up, Canyon will take on Brock on Saturday. Brock's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so Canyon's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Clint does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
