The Landon Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Albans Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Landon and four for St. Albans.
Landon lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by Bullis at home and fell 66-39. While losing is never fun, Landon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while Bullis is ranked third).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Aristeides John Hobson, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Francis Mannino, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, St. Albans pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to St. Stephen's & St. Agnes 76-72.
Landon has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season. As for St. Albans, they dropped their record down to 13-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Landon came up short against St. Albans in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-55. Will Landon have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
