The Lathrop Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Oakdale 49-22 on the road. With Lathrop ahead 28-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Lathrop was led to victory by Tatianna Lowery and Shakara Porter. Lowery scored 17 points along with six steals, while Porter dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Porter is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilynn Nungaray, who scored five points along with three steals.
Lathrop's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Oakdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
