Fletcher was the 27-20 winner over Mandarin when they last met November of last year. On Thursday? They had no such luck. Fletcher didn't finish too far behind, but the team still lost 27-21 to Mandarin. Fletcher's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Mandarin can attribute much of their success to Carson Beck, who passed for 226 yards and four TDs. Beck has been one of Mandarin's best players in each of their past seven games. Beck has never finished with more yards this season. More help came courtesy of Jerome Jolly, who was good for 15 tackles.
The loss dropped Fletcher's record to 6-4. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Mustangs and raised their record to 7-3.
Fletcher does not have any more games currently scheduled. As for Mandarin, they will face off against Seminole at 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday. The Mustangs fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Friday as the odds are decidedly against them.
