Woodbridge has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Delmar Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Woodbridge can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They really took it to Sussex Tech for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-13 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.
Traci Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 167 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. Johnson was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, Delmar faced Milford in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Delmar came out on top against Milford by a score of 29-22 on Friday. The win was just what Delmar needed coming off of a 27-7 defeat in their prior contest.
Woodbridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Delmar, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
Woodbridge was taken down by Delmar 41-14 in their previous matchup back in September of 2022. Thankfully for Woodbridge, Jalen Johnson (who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
