The SkyView Academy Hawks lost against the Gilpin County Eagles back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the pair wasn't particularly close, with SkyView Academy falling 46-29. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gilpin County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was KAILEE STARKEY, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was FAITH RAMSEY, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
SkyView Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Gilpin County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
SkyView Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Clear Creek at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Clear Creek is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Gilpin County's road trip will continue as they head out to face Kiowa at 5:30 p.m. on January 17th.
