The Pitman Pride had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 55-31 margin over Gregori. Given Pitman's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Gregori is ranked 572nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the defeat, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Jayson Powers scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Powers has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played.
Pitman is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for Gregori, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.
Pitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gregori also has no future games currently scheduled.
