Lassiter's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cal Liston, who scored 20 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Venuti, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
Lassiter's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Pope, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Lassiter will be playing at home against Cambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pope, they will head out on the road to face off against North Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for North Springs: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Pope has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
