Ty Newton put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Newton and Scholars Guild Academy will head out to challenge Victory Baptist at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
