The Avon Grove Red Devils will head out to face off against the Henderson Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Henderson took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Avon Grove, who comes in off a win.
Avon Grove took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over Sun Valley. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Vanguards: they've now won nine in a row.
Ryan Fuller looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Andrew Simeone was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Avon Grove: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-7 otherwise. Anthony Bishop also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.
Avon Grove always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2025.
Meanwhile, Henderson fell victim to Great Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Warriors were not able to get on the board.
The win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 4-8. As for Henderson, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Avon Grove has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Henderson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Avon Grove couldn't quite get it done against Henderson in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 7-3. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
