The New Hanover Wildcats put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 60-27 victory over West Brunswick at home. New Hanover has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Nolan Billings continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Zeus Batts was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
West Brunswick's loss came despite strong showings from Jude Surigao and K'Veon Griffin. Surigao scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Griffin scored eight points.
New Hanover's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for West Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Hanover won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Laney at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Laney has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games. As for West Brunswick, they will head out on the road to face off against Topsail at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
