Another reason for the win was Columbus East's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Clayton Miller was especially locked on to Jeffersonville's QB and sacked him 2.5 times. With that strong performance, Miller is now averaging an impressive 5.6 total tackles per game.

Columbus East better focus on containing Dayson Kirby and Brody Horton as the pair were huge in Bedford North Lawrence's win. Kirby threw for 220 yards and four TDs, while Horton gained 110 total yards and two touchdowns. Kirby has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played.
