Basketball Recap: Alexander Extends Winning Streak to Four

Alexander had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 66-60 W against the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars.

Despite the loss, Floresville still got an impressive performance from Amariah Ruiz, who went 12-for-22 on her way to 32 points and five boards. The matchup was Ruiz's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alissa Hilario, who posted six points along with six assists and three steals.

Alexander now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Floresville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Alexander wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 38-29 defeat against Carrizo Springs on the 22nd. As for Floresville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-26 victory against Cuero on the 22nd.
