Pinellas Park won the last time they met up with St. Petersburg, and they shouldn't regret having come to the reunion, either. Pinellas Park steamrollered St. Petersburg 43-7. Followers of Pinellas Park probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
It took a quarter to shake off the cobwebs, but after zero first-quarter points, the Pinellas Park offense picked up 16 points in the second quarter. Meanwhile, St. Petersburg couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 16-0 heading into the break. The offense for Pinellas Park continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 27 points to put the game away. The win bumped their record up to 5-0. The loss dropped St. Petersburg's record to 4-2.
Next week Pinellas Park take on Lakewood at 7:30 PM. Pinellas Park will be strutting in after a victory while Lakewood will be stumbling in from a defeat. St. Petersburg will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Countryside in two weeks at 7:30 PM.
