They took a serious blow against Smithville on Friday, falling 49-8. Kirksville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Ryder Lyons threw for 62 yards on six of 13 attempts.
Kirksville now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Smithville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Kirksville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Smithville is on the road again on Friday and play against Kearney. Kearney has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 346 points over their last eight contests.
