South Loup scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sandhills Valley 51-16 on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for South Loup as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
South Loup was led to victory by Josie Reiff and Bryn Schwarz. Reiff scored 14 points along with six steals, while Schwarz dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Schwarz has scored at least 25% of South Loup's points.
South Loup's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Sandhills Valley, they bumped their record down to 0-9 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
South Loup and Hershey will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hershey and South Loup are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. Sandhills Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Medicine Valley at 6:15 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
