The Roosevelt Teddies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Lutheran 92-52 on the road. That looming 92-52 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Roosevelt yet this season.
Roosevelt's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla Bennett, who scored 24 points along with six assists and three steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Cady Davis, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
The victory (which was Roosevelt's third in a row) raised their record to 8-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for West Lutheran, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt and Minneapolis Southwest will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Minneapolis Southwest is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for West Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on January 6, 2024 against Bethlehem Academy at 2:00 p.m.
