Even though the Northeast Metro RVT Knights have not done well against the Mystic Valley Regional Eagles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Northeast Metro RVT enjoyed a cozy 70-52 win over Mystic Valley Regional. The victory was nothing new for Northeast Metro RVT as they're now sitting on four straight.
Chris Zullo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven assists and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Jayden Outlaw was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
Northeast Metro RVT pushed their record up to 7-8 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Mystic Valley Regional, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northeast Metro RVT won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Notre Dame Cristo Rey at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. Northeast Metro RVT is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. As for Mystic Valley Regional, they will head out on the road to square off against Minuteman Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Massachusetts (Minuteman Regional is ranked 232nd, while Mystic Valley Regional is ranked 244th).
