Shaun Wade takes the field for
Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville, Fla.) all eyes are on the Ohio State commit and every opposing player's radar is on high frequency.
But none of it matters. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound receiver and defensive back is in his own stratosphere as he shows with this catch, retreat, fumble, recovery and electrifying run down the field Friday night in a 31-23 win over University Christian.
When Wade received a short pass from
Legend Brumbaugh, there were seven white jerseys surrounding the top recruit. He took a couple steps back to find some space and fumbled. But once he got the ball back — well, take a gander. Simply remarkable.
He turned it into a 66-yard touchdown as the nation's No. 34 team raced to a 31-3 lead only to hold on. Wade added an acrobatic interception just before halftime to add to his impressive resume.
Judging from this clip alone, it's pretty obvious Urban Meyer is getting a player who can get it done on either side of the ball. He's ranked the No. 3 cornerback in the county and looks like a potential return man too.
